This page is an addendum of pictures to better explain how to best use cover and concealment.  Be sure to check out the main cover and concealment page on the side menu bar as well.

Below- This is what “crowding cover” looks like.  It exposes you to fire from the enemy, makes you far easier to spot, increases your chances of getting hit by a ricochet, reduces your field of view and your ability to move.

Below- Shooting over cover is usually a bad idea if there are any options as it silhouettes you.  And when necessary you should present as little of your body as possible over the cover.  This is the wrong way to do it.

Below- This is how shooting around cover and shooting over cover should look from the enemies point of view.  When shooting this way you have to take care to not hit your shoot your cover yourself.  Though this would be better than being shot.

Below- Developing “weak side” shooting skills is helpful when shooting around cover.

Below- Mastering a variety of shooting positions is important.  This will allow you to modify these positions when shooting around cover with a minimum of discomfort.
