We added another long time coming article on radio communications and another on radio security.  Keeping them within the normal article length for this site was difficult, these are subjects it is quite easy to keep going on.  We hope to have offered a decent introduction.  I also made a couple of corrections on other recent pages and added some links on the camouflage page.

A long time coming, I put up a page on hand and arm signals for team communication in the field.  This was kind of cart before the horse - but I had to coordinate a model.  This goes hand and hand with the Team Movement YouTube vid and the small unit tactics pages.  Check it out.  I also added two links today. First, a blog named "Mountain Guerilla" that I have been reading a lot lately, and would recommend. Second, my new favorite (for about a year) discussion forum "Straight Prep."

I updated the feedback with stuff from the last year (since the last update.) Fixed a couple of items I muffed up earlier in the week and imbedded links to some videos.  We have a couple of new videos in the planning state and a couple of pages getting put together, should be up within the next month.  Tomorrow is patriot day, the anniversary of Americans standing up against the most powerful military in the world in order to protect their rights.  Time to rededicate yourself to being ready for it to happen again.

I'm doing a lot of add on in honor of this Friday's Patriot Day.  The big thing today are three pages accessible through the misc pages.  One is under "gear" and describes part of the Viet Cong logistical chain.  A good short read.  Two are under tactics, one on individual movement (to support our recent vid on YouTube,) and another on fighting positions in an urban or suburban environment.  I also updated the reading list with a couple of additions and added links to Amazon.com (this might help support the site.)

I updated the link pages, deleted some dead links and added some.  Check it out. There is more stuff coming later in the week.

I have let the web page sit for a while.  I have not been idle, I've been training locally, making YouTube videos and concentrating on personal stuff.  Recent events make me feel that it is time for me, my friends and anyone that might be looking at this page to step up their training.  Today I made a couple of re-writes (notably to the "Ways to Train" article) and corrected some things I've found.  I've got two decent pages on tactics to add and will make them live this week.  Also big changes coming to links, reading list and over all layout.  So stay tuned.

I added two new pages both can be accessed through the miscellaneous page.  One is on general camouflage principles is locaded under"skills and training" on the miscelanious and one on how to camouflage a rifle is under the weapons.

In honor of breaking 100k page views I've added some e-mail to the feedback page.  I always appreciate praise and accept reasonable advice and criticism.  I read everything even if I don't respond.   I also added a couple of new things to the link pages some YouTube channels and a page called Grandpappy that has a lot of common sense survival info.

7/16/11

I added a new page that shows how my gear has evolved in the past couple of years, it is located under "My Current Gear Layout" iunder gear pages on the miscelanious pages link.  There are also two pages that show my friends and I using various first, second and third line gear in training.  Hopefully these will give you some ideas and motivate you to test your gear.

Well it has been a while since I have updated the website, but I have been busy the last couple of months getting some articles ready.  First up, are two new pages on small team tactics, real nuts and bolts stuff that people have been asking about for a while.  They can be accessed through the miscellaneous pages link off the main menu bar.  Listed under “Leadership and Tactics.”  I also added a page under gear and supplies about things that are needed during crises.  So if you have been waiting on updates, check them out and let everyone know!  More are coming within the next couple of weeks.

Well, the website has been up over two years now.  I hope that you're enjoying it.  I recently attended and "Appleseed shooting clinic." and added a description of the Appleseed program on the miscellaneous page under training.  Give it a read and check out the Appleseed program.  I also added a couple of pictures to the .22LR training page- just a couple of pics of options for a 22 training rifle, which ties in with the Appleseed page.  I also corrected a couple of random spelling errors that were found by readers, so if you spot them let me know... and as always spread the word and give me feedback.

4/5/10

I've been doing a lot of training lately, and trying to get some pages up ready to help others.  I just put up a page on using 22 long rifle clones and conversion kits for training, a page of pictures from a recent "selection weekend" to give folks a better idea of what I'm talking about, a page of pictures of how to shoot from cover and a page of quotations about the second amendment.  They are listed under "miscellaneous  pages." I have also updated and re-arranged the reading list page to include some new books.

12/31/09

It's New Years Eve and I felt I should get some "last updates of the year" going.  I added a new section to the miscellaneous pages called "Training Pages."  The first page in this section is an essay on what older folks can do to help be prepared.  It was motivated by reader’s e-mail.  I also added a page on selecting team members.  I also corrected some typos, again, most of which were found by volunteer readers.  Finally, as a final Christmas gift to the readers (to show they are appreciated) I added a couple of new e-mails to the feedback page.  So keep the feedback coming folks, especially the suggestions and corrections.  I might not get to it the next day but I do take it to heart and it does improve the site.

7/14/09

I have added two new pages to the "miscellaneous pages" section.  One is a page discussing individual tactical principles, or tips.  The second is a page discussing necessary accessories for your combat rifle.

6/22/09

I have added two new pages to the “miscellaneous pages” section. A page written by another person on criteria for choosing fighting weapons and a comparison of various weapons types for use by a citizen soldier.

6/18/09

I have updated the pictures on the "shooting positions" page.  There are now pictures for each position.  I have also added links to the "Box of Truth," the "Survival Podcast"  and "Gun Facts." Gun Facts is a page dedicated to dispelling many of the myths comonly spouted by anti gunners.  You should check all of my links out.

6/16/09

I have added two new pages to the “miscellaneous pages” section.  One of these is a classic list of “rules” about gunfighting and another is one I wrote on the OODA loop.  You should check them out.  I also added some e-mails to the feedback page.  Lastly, I have begun adding links to my youtube videos into the pages where they would be pertinent.

10/29/08

Three pages on "Leadership Skills" have been added to the miscellaneous page link.  These pages contain information on mission planning and the operations order.

10/5/08

The "Gear Combination page"  as been added to the miscellaneous page link on the menu bar to the right.  This page contains images and descriptions of various field gear combinations.
