There are a number of sites on the web of similar content or purpose. I suggest that folks interested
in taking their rights of self defense more seriously browse around. As always I suggest you take all information on
the internet with a grain of salt (including mine.) If it doesn’t seem to make sense then you should probably
cross check it.
Youtube accounts
My Youtube account
http://www.youtube.com/user/excurraheeThis is my youtube account.
I have been adding instructional videos. There are also many videos from our local practical matches, and a couple from
camping trips. You should check it out.
PAW productions
(delta69alpha)
http://www.youtube.com/user/delta69alpha
Check these guys out. They have some of the best practical survival stuff available on the web.
This is the single largest firearms discussion forum on the web. There are some
quality characters on here, and some real assholes… but it may be the single greatest resource on firearms knowledge
on the web. My screen name here is currahee.
Modern
Minuteman
The best "militia" oriented site I know about. A lot of good information to be had,
if a little bit slow (traffic wise) sometimes. My screen name there is currahee also.
Another good militia site. There are a few “tinfoil” and overtly religious
types here, but there is certainly good info to be had. Again, my name here is Currahee.
Survival Oriented Information
Survival Podcast
http://www.thesurvivalpodcast.com/
This is basically an internet radio show (with downloadable podcasts.) Episodes cover various topics from libertarian
politics to survival issues and firearms. Also a lot of good written material.
Wildwood Survival
www.wildwoodsurvival.com/index.html
This is a huge collection of articles on various survival skills. Take some time and browse around.
OldJimbo
www.oldjimbo.com/survival/
Another collection of survival oriented articles. It’s kind of “all over the map,” but concentrates
on sharp tools and weapons.
Backwoods Home "Seven
Mistakes of Food Strage"
Like ammo, you can never have enough food put away. This page gives a list of common pitfalls that
beginners fall into. Take a look around the rest of the site as well.
Other Information
Box of Truth
http://www.theboxotruth.com
A great site on real capabilities of firearms. Basically he shoots different things with a variety
of different guns to test things such as their penetration and effects on accuracy.
GunFacts
http://www.gunfacts.info
A site that dispels many of the myths that gun-control proponents like to repeat. Arm yourself with knowledge
to fight ignorance.
Civilian Defense
Force
This is a HUGE collection of information and Articles on a wide variety of topics. It includes
some fun stories, some stuff written by various people involved with the internet militia boards among other things. My biggest
complaint would be the lack of formatting... so download and print the stuff you find useful, but by al means take some time
to browse.
Fred’s Articles
www.fredsm14stocks.com/articles.asp
I don’t know who Fred is, but he has a plan to save America that in many ways coincides with mine. He has
been at it longer and doing more than I have as well. Check out “Fred's Plan to Save America!” first.
You might want to check out :Fred’s Columns” and “Rifleman” on the left menu bar as well.
Tactical tips from Larry Vickers
www.vickerstactical.com/tacticaltips.htm
Larry Vickers is a seriously experienced professional at arms. He now makes his living training others.
But this is a collection of stuff he has written and it up there for free. Take advantage of advice from professionals!
My Outdoor TV
myoutdoortv.com/
This is a large collection of videos about various outdoor skills. It’s worth you while to watch a few.
Do a search for “pro tips” and it will bring up segments from the Shooting USA television show.
Military Morons
www.militarymorons.com
I don’t know what the purpose of this site is, but there is a lot of good gear advice. Targeted at the higher
end of the cost spectrum though.
Global Security
A masive site about all things military. Including a source for many military field manuals.
World Guns
world.guns.ru/main-e.htm
This is a site based in Russia. The guy that runs it is a serious fan of military small arms, and it is a handy
site for quick info on.
Commercial Sites
(I have
dealt with all of these folks before and wouldn’t suggest them if I wasn’t reasonably pleased)
Armchair Tactical
This guy is able to make custom gear at a reasonable price. A lot of the high end stuff
isn't exactly what the citizen soldier needs, talk to him and he'll build exactly what you want.
Ammunition To Go
ammunitiontogo.com/
This is my major source for ammo these days. Shop around for the best price and availability though.
Midway USA
www.midwayusa.com/
A good source for a lot of gun and reloading supplies.
Cheaper than Dirt
www.cheaperthandirt.com/default.asp
This is a source for a lot of miscellaneous surplus stuff. The priced used to be cheap, but a lot of it has gone
up. Most of the non-surplus stuff is junky, but if it’s all you can afford go for it.
Sportsman’s Guide
www.sportsmansguide.com/
Not the best place in the world, but they have good prices on a few good things. I’ve paid for a “buyers
club” membership before. By saving a list of things I wanted to buy, then ordered it all at once (as well as some stuff
for friends) I saved some money.
